Peer Advisors are undergraduate students who volunteer to spend one hour a week holding office hours in the Peer Advising office.

In this capacity, Peer Advisors offer new and potential Sociology majors, minors and Family Studies minors useful and valuable information about the Sociology major, suggestions for becoming involved, and help with core skills like test preparation, essay writing, and understanding key concepts in sociology.

All third- and fourth-year students are invited to apply to be Peer Advisors. Applications are due by September 15th (term 1) or January 15th (term 2) to soci.peer.advising@ubc.ca.
